If someone tells you that you can’t eat “comfort” foods and reach your goals….
Side note: By denying yourself of your favorite “comfort” foods can actually cause your body to release stress hormones, and we all know that stress isn’t good for the body.
Learn how to balance out your foods
Balancing out your foods looks different for everyone, but I’m going to give you a general idea of what it could look like. You want to balance out nutritious foods (for the body) and “comfort” foods (for the soul).
Trying to find what balance looks like for you is going to take time so it’s ok if you trial-and-error.
Work on your mindset, and how food makes you feel
Ask yourself questions on why you’re feeling negatively towards food. Is it because the media told you that chocolate will make you fat (not true by the way)? Keep asking yourself ‘why’ you feel that way. You’ll eventually get to the core on why those feelings are there.
Once you have determined why, work on it the mindset that’s connected to it.
I’m debunking some diet/nutrition myths for ya
Myth #1
Myth: There are “bad” foods and “good” foods. Bad foods will make me fat.
Truth: There are nutritious foods and soul satisfying foods. Neither one will “make you fat.”
Myth #2
Myth: Carbs will make me fat.
Truth: Carbs is your primary source of energy so you’ll feel like poop if you don’t eat them. Plus they’re yummy and will NOT make you fat!
Myth #3
Myth: I need “low-fat” or “reduced fats” so I can lose weight.
Truth: Your body needs fats for your hormones. If you cut them out your hormones will most likely be out of whack. Ever PMS’d so bad that you weren’t yourself? Yeah, that’s what happens when you cut out fats!
Myth #4
Myth: If I eat 1200 calories I’ll lose weight.
Truth: That’s the calorie amount for a 3 year old female….You may lose weight, but you’ll most likely gain it back after the fact. Your body’s metabolism is lower and isn’t used to the higher calorie amount so it’ll pack on the fat.
You aren’t meant to diet your entire life so that’s why I want to show you how you can reach your goals WITHOUT dieting. It’s possible. Let me know you my past clients transformation.
