A lot of women tell me they’ve been trying to either lose weight or gain muscle for a long time now but never reached their goal. Honestly, it’s pretty common to feel this way because we always feel like we should be “further” than where we’re at now.
It’s ok to feel this way, but don’t let it bring you down or hold you back. You deserve more for yourself <3
Here are 4 things I’ve noticed over the years that women tend to forget…and maybe you did, too:
The media tells us we have to eat less to lose weight, but that’s FAR from the truth. You can lose weight eating MORE. There’s so much more to life than dieting. You can’t always trust the number on the scale. I’m not saying you shouldn’t use it, but don’t rely on them to see progress!
A few reasons why the scale is higher:
Focus on non scale victories! Get rid of the scale if it’s making you feel like crap. Don’t let it have power over you cuz it’s just not worth it! 😉
It’s ok to have body goals, but don’t forget to dig deep into ‘why.’ Example: You want to lose 20 lbs so you feel even more confident in your skin when you’re being intimate with your husband/partner.
Or you want to lose 20 lbs so you can walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath or run around the backyard with your kids without struggling.
Dig deep on your ‘why.’
It’s really easy to want to reach your goals faster. Especially if it feels like you’ve been working at them for what seems like forever. I totally get it. But being patient is part of the process. This kinda goes back to #3, focus on your ‘why.’
And my biggest tip for you is to not wait until New Year’s. Get started today because you’re worth it <3
You can reach your goals without the New Year’s fad diets that circle around year after year….no more dieting, no meal plans, no more working out too much…none of that.
Like I said, you deserve more, and you don’t have to feel miserable or kill yourself to get there.
