Hey Beauties!
I’m here to tell you a piece of my journey in hopes that it’ll impact your life. If you’re going through a rough patch while losing weight, I hope you know that you aren’t alone.
For as long as I can remember, I turned to food as a coping mechanism. It was a way I escaped my problems. Over the years, I thought that was normal until I moved out on my own and had my own place. There were days when I would stop at Walmart after a hard day to buy a bunch of “junk” food and eat it all in one sitting. Yup, ALL in one sitting. At first, it was 1-2 times a week. Then it led to almost daily binge eating.
Needless to say, I gained 50 lbs in 2 years. Not only did I feel out of control with binge eating, but I was even more insecure in my body. I remember stepping on the scale thinking, “How in the world did this happen?” But I knew deep down….I was self sabotaging.
So I started dieting. Boy, was that a wrong turn to take. I mean, the media says to diet to lose weight so that’s what I did. We all learn from our mistakes though so I’m grateful for it. The dieting made my binge eating worse because all I ever thought about was the food I wasn’t “supposed” to have.
I remember running a treadmill thinking, “I can’t do this anymore. If I have to keep doing it this way then I’m done.” This is when I gave weight loss one last shot….I researched and researched to find a way to get the body I wanted. (By the way, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to change your body. Yes, you should love your body for what it is, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay that way if you don’t want to). That’s when I found an Online Health & Fitness Coach.
That day changed my life forever, and I’m so thankful for her! I’m going to leave it off right here so stay tuned for part 2 of my journey!
Until next time,
